Hey, I'm Josh — a Senior React Native engineer and Mobile Technical Lead focused on building production-grade mobile applications that are fast, secure, and ready to scale.
Over the past five years I've helped architect, build, ship, and maintain iOS and Android applications across healthcare, consumer, and AI-powered products. At Hippo Education I grew from a React Native engineer into the Mobile Technical Lead role, and I founded NestleAI — an AI-powered parenting platform built from the ground up.
My strongest work sits at the intersection of React Native, AI-powered user experiences, and security-focused application architecture. I enjoy building polished mobile products while also understanding the backend, platform, and security systems that support them — Go, Node.js, PostgreSQL, cloud infrastructure, observability, CI/CD, and secure AI integration.
I hold a B.S. and M.S. in Cybersecurity and am continuing deeper study in computer science, AI/ML, distributed systems, and secure intelligent applications. I'm especially interested in teams building the next generation of intelligent mobile products — where mobile experience, AI capability, and security all matter.

Mobile is the product
The app is what users actually touch. I obsess over the things that make a mobile product feel premium — performance, motion, platform conventions, and end-to-end polish.
Security is structural
A cybersecurity background means I design apps where insecure states are hard to express — secrets in the keystore, secrets off the device, trust enforced on the backend.
Intelligence should feel native
AI features should feel like part of the app, not a chatbot bolted on. Streaming, optimistic UI, and on-device context are what make intelligence feel fast and trustworthy.
