How I think about engineering
Security is structural
I don't add security on top — I design systems where insecure states are hard to express. Threat modeling comes before the first line of code.
Distributed by default
The interesting problems are always distributed. I think in terms of failure modes, consistency models, and what happens at partition.
Reliability is a feature
SLOs are commitments, not aspirations. Observability is the prerequisite to reliability. I build systems I'd trust to run while I sleep.
Products need to ship
Technical correctness doesn't matter if nothing reaches users. I balance engineering depth with delivery velocity — deliberately.
